The Telco, Media, and Gaming Operating Unit is a newly formed, industry-focused team of sales professionals dedicated to helping customers achieve their strategic goals through Microsoft’s solutions. In this role, you’ll work alongside top-tier sellers, solution architects, and customer success managers to lead digital transformation efforts and deliver tangible business outcomes. By addressing complex industry challenges with innovative solutions, you’ll accelerate deal velocity and play a key role in shaping the future success of our customers.
As a Strategic Account Technology Strategist, you will have the opportunity to design and drive leading edge technology initiatives in partnership with your customers, both supporting your customers’ desired business outcomes and achieving Microsoft’s business objectives.
Paired with an Enterprise Account Executive, leveraging your large, multi-functional v-team across the breadth of the Microsoft product portfolio and the vast catalog of Microsoft Partner offerings, you will build and grow your network of technology executives within your customers and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customers adopt and embrace AI technologies. With a proven history of innovating technical solutions to achieve customers’ business objectives and achieving account growth targets, this role will give you the opportunity to combine your technology and industry knowledge to deliver on AI solutions to accelerate your customers’ AI vision and to ultimately become their trusted technology advisor.

Responsibilities
- Customer AI and Security Strategy Leadership - Document and articulate the customer’s business objectives, technology landscape and AI and Security strategy.
- Technology Relevant Trusted Seller - Drive Microsoft Business growth including partner co-sell motions and governance around consumption and intent to use
- Technology Leadership across Solution Areas - Lead AI, (including data and migration) and Security, conversations across the rooms of the house showcasing how they align to the customers business priorities.
- Industry Knowledge – Apply expertise in customer businesses, technology platforms and industry to build AI strategy with the customer that is aligned to business outcomes. Challenge customers’ assumptions with constructive dialogue about their business and technology.
- Applies expertise (deep expertise across few accounts or broad expertise across many accounts) and thought leadership to identify and inform the development of the right Industry Sales Kits and industry partners within the customer's vertical industry.
- Articulates and understands specific industry-related market trends, as well as customer threats, opportunities, and barriers to growth as they relate to the customer's broader industry.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 5+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Media or Telecommunications industry OR mapping AI solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 9+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience.3+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.2+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management.3+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams.
- Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to build positive relationships with technology leaders and their teams, contributing to effective collaboration and supporting engagement across the organization.
- Developing knowledge of the media industry and a willingness to learn about industry challenges, while working to establish credibility and assist in providing tailored solutions.
- Ability to clearly communicate Microsoft’s value and benefits, even alongside strong competitors. Eager to learn and apply strategies that help highlight Microsoft’s strengths and distinguish its offerings within enterprise environments.
- Team-Oriented Collaboration with Diverse Stakeholders. Experience or interest in working with a variety of teams and departments, and an openness to learning how to coordinate efforts and achieve shared goals across different areas of a business.
Strategic Account Technology IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
