The Strategy and Operations (S&O) team is dedicated to driving strategic vision and operational excellence across CE&S. We aim to enhance our company''s edge by leveraging market insights, fostering innovation, and ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives. Within S&O, the Product Lifecycle and insights team is focused primarily on Day-0 readiness.


As a member of the Product Lifecycle NPI team, the focus of this role is Day-Zero readiness for Customer Service & Support (CSS) and Customer Success Unit (CSU). We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) whose primary focus will be WINDOWS OS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in artificial intelligence, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. As an OS TPM, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of WINDOWS OS release use cases relevant for CSS & CSU, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.


This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

Responsibilities

 

• You will lead and manage Windows OS launches from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals. Provide insights and action plan(s) that are relevant to support and services.
• You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, product managers, planners and other stakeholders to define impact of upcoming Windows OS workloads, the requirements, scope, and deliverables.
• You will provide technical guidance and support to the team, leveraging your expertise in Windows OS and program mgmt. to solve complex problems. Understand and advise on the landscape of Commercial, Consumer and W365 for customer success.
• You will identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• You will maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and issues that arise. You will allocate resources effectively, ensuring the team has the necessary tools and support to achieve project objectives.
• You will implement best practices for testing and validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of WINDOWS OS models and solutions.
• You will stay up to date with the latest advancements in WINDOWS OS and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes and processes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, computer science, or product development 
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in technical program management, with a focus on WINDOWS OS and machine learning projects and ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Project management, problem-solving and analytical skills in WINDOWS OS, with experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Cloud (OS) proficiencies highly desired.    
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development 
    •   OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Strong understanding of WINDOWS OS technologies including but not limited to commercial use; Windows 11 Enterprise, Windows Server, and Azure Virtual Desktop, infrastructure support, and scalable virtualization. For Consumer; Windows 11 Home & Pro, Microsoft 365 Personal & Family, and Copilot in Windows. And for Windows 365 space; Windows 365 Enterprise, and Business.
  • Experience in industries such as technology, healthcare, or finance, where WINDOWS OS is applied to solve real-world problems.
  • Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
