As a UX Program Manager (UX Programs & Operations), you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the design of products that are used by billions of users. You’ll plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure projects meet deadlines. You’ll harmonize the work of UX Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, UX Engineers, and other UX disciplines, while also working closely with our Engineering and Product Manager cross-functional partners, to drive UX team objectives and create innovative experiences for our business, products, and users.

The Retail Ads UX team includes both the consumer and advertiser experiences, and delivers central value to Google while creating ads experiences that help users at critical moments in their shopping journey.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational excellence across the Advertiser and Consumer Retail Ads UX teams to deliver trust-building and strategic counsel through all project interactions.
  • Utilize knowledge of the UX craft, methodologies, or analytics to build programs across teams and allow UX to work.
  • Act as a representative for UX in cross-functional collaborations with Engineering and Product Management teams, connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for.
  • Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management, driving required changes to make sure UX working at optimum efficiency.
  • Lead and collaborate with UX team leadership in key project decision-making and orchestrate delivery for multiple UX related projects simultaneously.
