Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I in the Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) (Ref.: 532981) (to commence as soon as possible for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I to join the dynamic team at the Communication-intensive Courses (CiC) at The University of Hong Kong. In this role, the appointee will assist the investigators in managing and processing research data, reviewing relevant literature, analyzing and reporting findings, and supporting the project leader in various research activities related to the development of Communication-intensive Courses.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or preferably a Ph.D. in Education, Communication, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline. They should also be proficient in English (and preferably Cantonese and Putonghua). They should have a good command of written and spoken English; have knowledge of and experience in analysing quantitative and qualitative data, with expertise in qualitative research methodology; have proactive attitude and outgoing mindset; be self-motivated and organised; and be a good team player and able to work independently. They should also be familiar with data analysis tools (such as NVivo, SurveyMonkey) and MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).  Applicants with a Ph.D. may be considered for a Senior Research Assistant position.
