Pay Range:  AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary:

The practical nursing program is growing and we are seeking clinical and lab faculty to assist us with our full-time day and part-time evening/weekend students. If you have Medical Surgical and/or long-term care experience we would like to meet with you.

The adjunct faculty assist in our skill lab and external clinical settings. Faculty will be oriented to the lab and clinical setting prior to working directly with students.
Teach a maximum of 200 contact hours/semester of lab, clinical and/or simulation instruction for practical nursing students which may include Medical-Surgical Nursing, and/or Long-Term Care Nursing.

The ideal candidate is one who:
- Has demonstrated strong nursing clinical and assessment skills
- Is comfortable with technology
- Works well in collaboration with others
- Is committed to the mission of the community college
- Is familiar with the scope of practice of an LPN

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Nursing.
  • Two years as an RN in Medical Surgical/Long-term care.
  • Current license as a registered nurse in Kansas or have a Multi-state license.
  • 2+ years Medical Surgical/Long-term care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Nursing in Education.
  • Previous Education experience.
  • Teaching in higher education.
  • 5+ Years in Medical Surgical/Long-term care nursing.
