About the Role
Flinders University is seeking an outstanding and passionate academic and practitioner to join our team as a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in Psychology. The successful candidate will provide leadership in teaching and learning across Psychology topics, with a particular focus on Child and Adolescent Mental Health Assessment (Educational or Developmental Psychology).
In this position, you will also:
- Deliver inspiring teaching across all levels and modes.
- Lead curriculum development and review, creating courses that prepare students to work in diverse and interprofessional contexts
- Apply innovative teaching practices and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
This position is open to international candidates, with relocation and visa support available.
About You
With expertise in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Educational or Developmental Psychology, you are passionate about enhancing curriculum and supporting students to develop graduate-ready skills and knowledge to succeed in the field. You bring energy, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset, and are committed to excellence and innovation in teaching, supervision, and course coordination.
Candidates will be determined to be suitable for Level B or Level C positions depending on their relevant experience. In this position, you will also demonstrate:
- Completion of a PhD in Psychology, and/or a master’s qualification with equivalent professional experience.
- Eligibility for registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in the practice, teaching, and supervision of child and adolescent psychological assessment.
- Demonstrated capacity for excellence and innovation in tertiary-level teaching and learning.
