Description
The Senior-Level Operations Support – Fleet Reach Back Support IAMD (SWTD) position provides expert-level operational support and analysis for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems and fleet operations. This key personnel role supports post-mission analysis, war-fighting readiness assessments, and tactical employment of Aegis weapon systems for naval surface warfare operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide fleet reach back support for IAMD planning tools and systems
- Conduct post weapons firing mission analysis of Aegis weapon systems
- Support qualitative and quantitative assessment methods for war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations
- Operate tactical watch stations with authority to employ Aegis Weapon System
- Support Strike Group, Fleet, and Major Training Command planning operations
- Analyze surface navy combat systems, C5I, networks, and weapons systems performance
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of military experience, and/or relevant industry and/or government experience with the surface navy's combat systems, C5I, networks, weapons systems and IAMD planning tools/systems
- Five (5) years of experience aboard Navy cruisers, destroyers, frigates or within qualified Department of Defense warfare areas
Required Skills:
- Qualified and experienced in a watch station with the authority to employ the Aegis Weapon System (i.e. Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC), Battle Watch Captain)
- Must possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations
- Experience in post weapons firing mission analysis of Aegis weapon systems
Security Clearance: Must possess current Security Clearance of SECRET and be TS//SCI eligible
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship
Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to support fleet operations both CONUS and OCONUS
Physical Requirements: Standard office environment physical requirements for data analysis, training development, and team leadership activities.
