Job Description Summary

Site material specialist in GE GPS deliver GE’s commitment with the customer for on-time delivery(COD),
Material handling specialist has the responsibility of In-coming inspection for all parts/equipment GE provides for the project.
This role is involved with Logistic works, custom clearance, etc.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Handle overall project material issues related to project involving gas turbine / BOP / controls / Electrical systems etc.
- Document management for Material inspection/delivery/damaged material report etc.

-Support the whole site project team with parts/material management during the installation period.
- Effectively support customer communication and contract deliverables
- Drive customer issue resolution with Site manager, Installation Director, PM & PD
- Actively participate in Lean initiatives to improve/simplify project execution(Expediting material deliveries in case any parts defects).

Qualifications/Requirements :

- Minor understanding on gas turbine/Steam turbine/ Generator etc. 
- BA or MA degree with good English understanding(Verbal/Written) 

Desired Characteristics :

- Ability to travel domestic and internationally about more than 3 or 4 months per year 
- Ability to influence cross region / cross time zone stakeholders.. 
- Excellent communication skills 
- Extensive knowledge of power generation equipment and BOP systems 
- Negotiating skills and contract terms and conditions 
- Customer facing experience 
- Willingness to adapt to time zone challenge
