As a Personal Lending Specialist, you are a key member of a team servicing all the personal banking needs of our Corporate Customers. The Personal Lending team is part of the wider corporate team which comprises of a motivated team of experienced Relationship Managers and Analysts who work collectively to deliver a first-class customer experience to our corporate customers, and their owners.

In most cases, the personal lending team will partner with the Relationship Managers to provide a first-class experience when it comes to the personal lending aspects of our corporate customers relationship with Westpac. You will be responsible for taking the initial enquiry over the phone or via email, processing the customers personal funding request, and on-boarding the customers lending to Westpac. You will then be responsible for assisting the Relationship Manager in proactively managing the customers personal lending.

You are an expert in managing personal banking clients’ needs and assessing and processing home loans, personal credit cards and personal loans meeting customer needs and ensuring Westpac regulatory obligations are met. As such you will have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to take ownership to act independently within agreed frameworks.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers and a reputation for delivery excellent service.
  • Confidence in the use of technology solutions to support productivity, efficiency, and innovation.
  • The ability to build networks both internally and externally and communicate with confidence.
  • The ability to interpret and translate technical material.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, including 3+ years banking experience, preferably within a consumer or business banking environment.
  • Sound knowledge of Westpac’s home loan products and our lending system.
  • Financial Numeracy.

  • A comprehensive understanding of Association customers and their needs.
