Summary:

Anaconda is seeking a talented Staff Product Manager, Data Engineering and Analytics to join our rapidly-growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. You’ll work at the intersection of technical execution and product strategy, partnering closely with our data engineering, data science, and analytics teams to build the data infrastructure and tooling that powers decision-making across our organization.


What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to define and execute the roadmap for our internal data platform, pipelines, and analytics capabilities
  • Collaborate with other product managers and teams to understand current telemetry capabilities and needs across our product ecosystem and provide best practices for collecting product data.
  • Drive the development of self-service data tools and infrastructure that enable go-to-market, sales, marketing, and product teams to efficiently access, analyze, and report on data
  • Own the product strategy for data discovery, governance, and democratization initiatives that make our data more accessible and trustworthy across the organization
  • Work directly with technical teams to facilitate the designing of data pipelines, data models, and architecture for scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications and product features. You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution - defining quarterly goals and planning while working with the engineering team to manage the backlog and triage incoming requests.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics for data platform adoption, performance, and user satisfaction
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, reliability, and observability across our data ecosystem
  • Champion data best practices and help build a data-driven culture throughout the organization
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences


What You Need:

  • 10+ years of product management experience with at least 3+ years focused on data platforms, analytics tools, or data infrastructure
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and modern data stack technologies
  • Proven track record of working closely with data engineers and data scientists in a collaborative, technical environment
  • Experience building and scaling internal data platforms or analytics tools for business stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and self-service analytics principles
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive product decisions and measure success
  • Experience with modern data technologies such as cloud data warehouses, data lakes, workflow orchestration tools, and BI platforms

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field or relevant technical certifications
  • Previous experience as a data engineer, data scientist, or analytics engineer before transitioning to product management
  • Experience building developer tools or platforms used by technical audiences
  • Knowledge of Python ecosystem and open-source data science tools
  • Experience with data mesh, data fabric, or other modern data architecture patterns
  • Track record of successful product launches in the data and analytics space
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working in an open-source, AI, or data science-oriented company

The base salary range for this role is $196,000 - $254,500 for candidates in New York City and San Francisco, and $147,000 - $216,500 for other US-based team members, along with annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.


Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
