Nuclear Power Programmes has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.

Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. In both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Amentum are recruiting for a Senior Risk Manager to support the delivery of the Sizewell C Project. You'll have experience of working in a large-scale project environment along with the experience of working in multiple risk management environments, understanding how effective risk management is achieved. This knowledge and your previous experience on major programmes and projects will enable them to assure outputs produced by the various senior risk managers. Key responsibilities will be:

Supporting and deputising for functional Project Controls Risk Leads within the Project Management Office (PMO), whilst also leading risk management within one of the SZC capital delivery programmes.
Risk Functional Lead in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls (Risk) processes.
Support with tasks directed by the Risk Functional Lead, and the ability to deputise at key project meetings.
Executive Risk Review meetings and the weekly Functional Leads/ Programme Controls Managers meeting.
Assist the Risk Functional Lead with the establishment, implementation and maintenance of Project Controls arrangements, systems, tools, and work instructions for use on the SZC project.
Planning & co-ordination of risk activities such as EAC update, ERR preparation & Integrated-QRA development.
Support the Risk Functional Controls Leads with progress reporting including monthly risk dashboard updates, forecast to complete, variance identification, delivery process insights and opportunities for improvement.

Technical skills; able to independently deliver large and complex QRAs, spanning Cost QRAs, Schedule QRAs, and Integrated QRAs, as well as good enterprise risk management skills
Linked capability to integrate/support breadth of project controls/project delivery/business support processes.
Mitigation-related skills underpinned by strong project and programme management and broader project controls experience.
Ability to understand breadth of project and construction processes, how they drive risk exposure, and understanding of range of mitigation solutions to support.
Good project management and broader project controls experience very desirable.
