Job Summary
To manage and drive the implementation of Allianz Malaysia’s Integrated Reporting, Sustainability Disclosures, Related Governance and Sustainability Strategy in creating positive sustainability (ESG) impacts in the Malaysia contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- To plan, to organize, to facilitate and to monitor the implementation of sustainability strategy related initiatives and activities in ensuring the short, mid and long term plans are actualized across the organization, with primary focus on disclosure in the short and mid terms.
- To facilitate, to draft, to produce the company’s integrated annual report aligning to regulatory requirements which includes close of reporting gap based on pre-scheduled plan.
- To steer industrial research, analysis and benchmarking on sustainability strategy, business model and targets for sustainability strategy formulation and performance setting. This includes but not limited to upcoming sustainability regulatory disclosure trends, sustainability materiality matters benchmarking and assessment for sustainability strategy formulation and disclosure strategy, among others.
- To monitor and analyze sustainability strategic performance and highlights irregularity to management. Thereby, to establish preventive or corrective actions to ensure achievement.
- To manage and drive sustainability related projects or initiatives identified within the organization. Ensure projects are rightly kick-off with defined scope, deliverables & timeline. Stakeholders management and mobilization (inclusive of vendors management) is part of the responsibility.
- Together with other team members, assist Head of Department to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the local sustainability governance related matters covering sustainability strategy, sustainability positioning, business opportunities identification & integration.
- To lead and provide guidance to junior team members to achieve the goals of the department.
- To innovate, to drive and to inculcate sustainability culture across the organization.
- Other assignments as deem necessary.
Key Requirements
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in insurance, economics, finance, actuarial, business administration or relevant.
- Sustainability qualification is an advantage.
- Certifications and knowledge in annual and sustainability reporting related standards i.e. IFRS S1 & S2, TCFD, GRI Standards, Bank Negara Malaysia’s CRMSA and UNSDG are an advantage.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience on strategy planning, implementation & project management with in-depth knowledge of insurance industry.
- Strategic project management and stakeholder management experience is required.
- Actual experience in drafting and mobolising Integrated Annual Report; as well as mobilising relevant sustainability related projects for Public Listed Companies are an advantage.
- Resilience to undertake challenges and be challenged.
- Ability to facilitate and draft integrated annual report and sustainability report.
- Meticulous and details in works without supervision.
- Pro-active, growth mindset with strategic and business acumen.
- Able to accelerate in a complex and fast paced working environment with sense of urgency.
- Excellent in communication, organisation, analysis, and project planning & management skills.
- A good team player with strong interpersonal skill.
- Able to work with diverse workforce in leveraging their best performance.
- Familiar with the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for work simplification
