Unit: Pharmacy
Schedule: Day shift + one 1pm to 9pm shift each week. Works every 4th weekend.

Job Summary

The pharmacy technician is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of many day to day tasks which enables the Pharmacy to run smoothly and efficiently. These tasks include accurately filling physician’s orders and restocking automated dispensing machines under the supervision of a pharmacist, processing charges for medications and IV fluids used from floor stock, transporting medication and IV fluids to the dumbwaiters, unit-dosing medications, answering the phone, and crediting patient profiles for returned medication and IV fluids.   

Qualifications

Education:
High School graduate required.

Training:
3-6 months on the job training required.

Experience:
Must hold Indiana Pharmacy Apprentice License.
