Position Summary 

The Global Trade & Customs (GTC) team is responsible for the compliance execution of global export controls, sanction laws, and regulations. The preferred candidate will work closely with GTC, Legal, and programs to apply international trade laws and regulations to support and drive international business 

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, U.S. Customs regulations, and applicable foreign customs laws.
  • Support the preparation and submission of export authorization applications to U.S. regulatory agencies such as the Department of State, DDTC and Department of Commerce, BIS.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with U.S. Government regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on export processes, international trade regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate and process requests for export license exemptions and exceptions.
  • Interpret international trade regulations and apply them to business operations and transactions.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes, international relations, and industry trends that may impact trade compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including legal, finance, global supply chain, and government affairs to align compliance efforts with national security priorities.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications 

  • Experience in defense and aerospace industry is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in trade compliance or related fields 
  • Knowledge and practical application of trade compliance regulations, such as ITAR, EAR, and Customs 
  • Proficient in the following software and tools: DECCS, SNAP-R, Microsoft365. Practical knowledge of Customs ACE or OCR EASE also acceptable
