JOB DUTIES: Develop and design enhancements to be made to existing actuarial software products, including Integrate and MG-Triton.  Develop solutions to errors of an actuarial nature found in existing actuarial software products.  Develop specifications to code software products effectively and efficiently and provide users with a thorough understanding of the actuarial methodologies of the systems.  Perform actual coding of enhancements and fixes, and work with dedicated developers implementing enhancements.  Perform unit tests of changes to ensure that system remains functional and that reasonable results are experienced.  Perform regression tests of changes to ensure that system remains backwards compatible with all clients.  Participate in client projects providing customized software changes to meet clients’ needs.  Assist the Integrated Support team to answer client questions of an actuarial nature.  Provide peer review of specifications and enhancements made to software products by other staff, to ensure the highest quality product.  Provide support to the assigned marketing representative, as needed, to answer actuarial questions asked by prospective clients, through written communication, phone communication.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative STEM field
  • 4 years of experience as an actuary or related occupation
  • Experience in each of the following:
    • Actuarial aspects of GAAP
    • Standard Valuation Law and related guidelines
    • R and SAS programming languages
    • MG-Triton or MG-ALFA/Integrate actuarial projection software
    • Software conversions to/from MG-Triton or to/from MG-ALFA/Integrate

Requirements may have been satisfied concurrently.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Full time work (37.5 hours per week).  Wage range of $144,664 to $213,290 per year.

LOCATION: Employee may work remotely from any location in the U.S. reporting to Seattle, WA headquarters office.
