Job Description

Sika is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to join it's growing team in Versailles, Kentucky

The Plant Manager at Sika will play a key role in: overseeing safety, efficient production schedules and output, inventory, on time delivery, quality and continuous improvement projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision of production personnel in order to meet daily operational schedules.
• Organize and ensure the implementation of production, safety and quality assurance activities including mixing, testing, labeling, and packaging and shipping; ensure production and product quality meet specifications.
• Resolve production and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Maintain spending and cost control measures in accordance with budgets and commitments agreed to with manager.
• Accurate financial reporting and forecasting
• Insure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations and Sika policies and procedures; serve as site safety representative; conduct training, record keeping and reporting in accordance with Sika policies
• Maintain quality standards, records and files in conformance with Sika quality standards; compiles, stores and retrieves production data.
• Satisfy customer on-time shipping requirements with minimum inventory investment; maintain inventory controls and levels to conform with budgets and forecasts while optimizing customer service levels; perform cycle counts and physical inventories; purchase raw materials and coordinate deliveries to meet production schedules.
• Inspect machines, tanks and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization; maintain equipment in good working order; maintain buildings and grounds.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment in accordance with Sika standards

Qualifications

• Education:  BS/BA in Business Management (or equivalent) preferred.
• Years Experience:  5-10 years of operational and management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
