We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto and Vancouver offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

Role overview:

As Sr Manager, Communications, you’ll lead and execute high-impact internal communications, talent brand, and CSR initiatives that align with our business priorities and culture. You’ll plan and deliver engaging employee communications, support executive messaging, and manage our internal communications portal. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and relevant messaging, develop content for internal and external channels, and oversee Corporate Social Responsibility programming that reflects our values and creates meaningful community impact.

About the day-to-day:

  • Plan and execute internal communications programs that drive employee engagement and alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and manage content for internal channels including newsletters, memos, videos, and the intranet.
  • Support executive communications including speech writing, talking points, and presentation development.
  • Lead CSR initiatives and campaigns that reflect our values and create positive social impact.
  • Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to enhance and promote our employer brand.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure communications are timely, relevant, and aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality communications projects.
  • Monitor and measure communications effectiveness using KPIs and analytics tools.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and bring fresh ideas to elevate our communications strategy.

About the qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
  • Proven success in developing and executing internal communications, CSR, and employer brand strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail.
  • Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience measuring communications effectiveness using KPIs.
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools (e.g., intranet platforms, social media tools, content management systems).
  • A passion and curiosity for technology, payments, innovation, and emerging trends.
  • Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., IABC, CPRS) considered an asset.

About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation:

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $115,000 and $130,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
