Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

NBCUniversal Chicago is looking for a senior producer to join the Multi-Platform Content Department. Candidate will be embedded with a small team of content creators serving the Chicago triopoly across all platforms; Linear, OTT, FAST, digital and audio. The department is committed to creating and disseminating premium content that serve the needs of our viewers / communities from an editorial perspective but also, at times, servicing partners through an integrated sales lens.

Ideal candidate must have strong ability to enterprise their own stories, both long and short form. Candidate must also be able to lead larger projects on their own both. In addition, candidate must have experience producing integrated content and working with advertorial partners in executing premium content.  

Qualifications

• Professional level of editing in Adobe Premiere
• Professional level knowledge of DSLR Cameras
• At least 5-7 years of producing broadcast (and streaming) content
• Candidate must understand project scope and be able to understand a creative brief, take the ball and run with projects on their own
• Experience working with external clients on integrated content and working internally with sales org to achieve client goals
• Candidate must also be able to develop both long and short form concepts from start to finish (pre-production / ideation through dissemination / publication).

  Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000
