Job Summary of the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications

The Senior Manager of Enterprise Applications & IT Project Delivery will play a crucial role in accelerating Axogen’s Digital Transformation. Reporting directly to the Vice President of IT, this position will support the design, delivery, and business relationship management of the entire Enterprise IT Applications portfolio, including GxP/BLA, SOX apps and other business critical systems. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of hands-on Business Analysis and IT Project Management skill sets, with a proven track record in ERP implementation, continuous improvement, and people development. This is a high visibility role that requires an individual who can not only execute at a technical level but also strategically manage multiple priorities across large, cross-functional teams. 

Requirements of the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT/Business roles with a focus on enterprise application delivery in the life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare, or manufacturing industry.
  • At least 7 years of management experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT project management and business analysis with particular expertise in at least one of the following functional processes: Procure to Pay, Demand to Build, Order to Cash, or Financial processes.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications including ERP, CRM, QMS, LIMS, HRIS, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a data-driven manner, utilizing metrics and project reviews.
  • Familiarity with the strategic deployment of IT systems and the development of standard operating procedures for end-user training and adoption. 

Responsibilities of the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications

The specific duties of the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications include but are not limited to:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Leads and mentors a diverse team of IT professionals, including full-time employees and consultants. Foster a collaborative environment with a focus on developing deep business acumen and continuous improvement.
  • Project Governance: Manages the intake of project and enhancement requests, provides initial time, resource and cost estimates, and aligns priorities with leadership and key stakeholders. Oversees the delivery of enterprise application projects and enhancements, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals and are delivered on time and within budget. Monitors project progress and takes corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks while ensuring successful outcomes. 
  • Data Governance, Integration, and Analytics: Designs system integrations in alignment with Data Owners, Business Stakeholders, and Analytics teams to support advanced Business Intelligence reporting, AI, and Automation. Ensures systems and changes are appropriately validated following CSV process requirements. Designs, builds, and deploys test script automation tools and procedures.
  • Business Analysis: Understands and contributes to the creation and review of project requirements. Reviews and approves requirements written by the business analysis team. Collaborates with business analysts to ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of project needs. 
  • Hands-On Technical Involvement & Quality Documentation: Actively engages in hands-on IT business analysis and project management tasks, demonstrating expertise with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, Enterprise Architecture, Middleware and guiding team members on best practices. Leads and oversees the development and maintenance of project/SDLC documentation that meets GxP/BLA compliance standards.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance: Possesses a deep understanding of IT General Controls, GxP regulations and CSV standards. Ensures that all projects adhere to SOx, GxP compliance/Data Integrity requirements and partner with Quality to maintain compliance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address and resolve Qulaity or Audit Findings.
  • Stakeholder Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with key business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of IT projects with business needs and budgets
  • Budget & Resource Allocation: Manages resource allocation effectively, balancing project needs with team capabilities and workload.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluates and improves core Procure to Pay, Demand to Build, Order to Cash, and Financial processes, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with key vendors, ensuring the effective delivery of services, visibility into application development roadmaps, advocating for business user enhancements, and alignment with business goals.

Salary Range$135,499$169,374 USD

Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
