Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators.

At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.

A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

Roblox is looking for a Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance to help build and mature our program. In this role, you'll work with legal, business, and other teams to help implement and oversee Roblox's governance, risk management, and compliance strategies. You will help ensure the company operates in adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. This individual will work with leadership and internal teams to help cultivate a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness.  This is a full-time, hybrid position reporting to the Senior Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance in our San Mateo HQ.

You will:

  • Help develop and maintain a corporate governance framework.
  • Work to ensure clear policies, procedures, and controls are in place across safety and other domains, as needed
  • Assist with the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored.
  • Conduct risk assessments, using AI to analyze data and identify trends, to evaluate potential threats to the organization.
  • Partner with business units to help embed risk management into decision-making processes and operational activities.
  • Help maintain the audit response program in partnership with cross-functional teams, such as Internal Audit.

You are:

  • A builder: You thrive on creating and improving things from the ground up, not just maintaining existing processes. You see ambiguity as an opportunity, not a roadblock.
  • A natural collaborator: You excel at working across diverse teams and understand that success comes from partnership, not from operating in a silo. You are a trusted advisor to your colleagues.
  • Data-driven: You are a critical thinker who relies on data and evidence to inform your decisions and recommendations. You are excited by the potential of new technologies like AI to solve complex problems.
  • A strong communicator: You can simplify complex compliance concepts into clear, actionable guidance for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Resilient: You are able to manage multiple high-stakes projects in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Passionate about safety and trust: You are personally committed to helping create a safe and positive experience for a global community of users.

You have:

  • 6+ years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance roles in a technology company.
  • Experience working in a regulated domain such as integrity, online safety, privacy, or security.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in law, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards applicable to online service providers.
  • Experience working on cross-functional initiatives and regulatory issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for communicating complex concepts.
  • Experience designing and operationalizing scalable and efficient compliance workflows.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., CRMP, CISA) is a plus.
