Safety Security Officer

Essential Functions

• Create and regularly update comprehensive safety policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on a range of safety-related topics, offering clear instructions to staff for best practices.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective preventative measures to mitigate risks.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall safety initiatives of the organization.

• Ensure Project Personnel comply with Government Security Training.

• Ensure Project Personnel maintain proper licenses to operate equipment.

• Coordinate with information System Security Officer to ensure project compliance.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years related experience
• Must have experience using Microsoft Office suite of products to include Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Experience in understanding Performance Work Statements to identify deliverable requirements.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA legislation and procedures.
• Familiarity with potentially hazardous materials and practices.
• Experience in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and potentially austere environments.
• Regularly exposed to industrial/ construction, environments involving equipment, electrical or mechanical hazards, elevated work areas, confined spaces, dust, hazardous materials, and odors
• Potential exposure to continuous loud noise produced by machinery and/or equipment

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid State driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
• Must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
• Must be proficient in the English Language per contract.
