Job Description

Lumino Nelson, a leading dental practice in Nelson, New Zealand, is seeking a professional and organized Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to our dentists and ensure a seamless patient experience.

• Assist dentists during dental procedures by preparing operatories, sterilizing instruments, and providing necessary materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols
• Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and supportive manner, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit
• Manage patient records and dental charts with meticulous attention to detail
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and handling billing inquiries
• Operate and maintain dental equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness

Please note this is for a casual DA position to support our current Dental Assistants. No regular hours or days are guaranteed at this time.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting certification or relevant training is required
• Previous experience working in a dental office is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and dental staff
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures
• Proficiency in dental software and equipment is an advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
