Position Summary:
Maintenance Technician II is responsible for intermediate-level maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. This role requires troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical, hydraulic, and PLC issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and equipment.
- Perform tasks in dismantling, assembling and installing industrial machinery.
- Diagnoses, repair and perform maintenance tasks on high and low voltage power distribution systems, AC and DC drives, microprocessors, relay logic, control wiring and related technologies
- Repair and replace defective parts and components. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts and components.
- Assists Maintenance Manager with maintaining inventory on supplies and spare parts.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot machine issues related to PLC/Ladder logic.
- Read blueprints and schematics to effectively troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner.
- Maintain and train employees in safe and efficient methods to repair equipment by following company developed LOTO and other related programs.
- Participate in plant safety related activities such as the STOP program.
- Participate and work on continuous improvement projects as assigned.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- 1 + year PLC / Electrical / Hydraulic Troubleshooting
- 3+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills:
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and trace down electrical issues on industrial equipment.
- Basic math proficiency, including the ability to accurately measure using a tape measure or micrometer.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and ability to follow instructions.
- Precision tool applications and skills of usage.
- Demonstrated ability to execute work instructions such as Lock Out Tag Out and preventative maintenance procedures.

Licenses / Certifications:
Physical Requirements: Office and manufacturing environment. The ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and work extended hours beyond regularly scheduled shifts. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting items from various heights. Stamina to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
Work Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to manufacturing equipment and machinery, forklifts, and pallets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme hot and cold weather conditions, and temperature variations. Personal protective equipment is required in all areas of the production plant.
