What's Exciting About the Role

Verifone is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to become an important part of our engineering organization. You will work on our payment service solutions in the Nordics & Baltics region.

In this role, the SDET will have the opportunity to work on different aspects of software development around payment services. This will range from testing and test automation, performance testing and CI/CD pipelines, working on test environments and Linux-based infrastructure, all the way up to actual software development. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test who is keen on learning new things and loves solving challenges.

You will work in an exciting international environment and collaborate with other Verifone associates in multi-functional teams. You will be a part of global initiatives and have an opportunity to build a career in one of the leading companies in the payment industry worldwide!

Skills and Experience We Desire

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or similar years of professional and relevant experience.
3+ years of non-internship professional experience in software development, test automation, and/or testing experience.
Hands-on experience in Java.
Hands-on experience on Linux usage.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Professional experience and knowledge of Continuous Integration tools.
Proactive attitude with good communication and collaboration skills.
Hands-on experience with SQL databases.
Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills

Payments industry knowledge.
Experience in test automation tools (e.g. Robot Framework or similar) and implementation of testing tools, such as simulators and/or mock-ups.
Experience in performance testing.
Experience in maintaining applications on Linux servers.
Understanding of DevOps model.
Experience in Continuous Deployment / Automated Deployments (e.g. Ansible).
