The Challenge:
We are seeking a Director to join the Enterprise Applications Project Management Office. The ideal candidate will possess deep HR expertise and a proven ability to lead and manage HR Project/Program Managers to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of strategic HR IT initiatives. This role provides leadership, governance, and oversight for HR-related programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and consistent project delivery methodology. This role will work closely with the Global Human Resources Teams such as HR Operations, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, HR Technology, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and reports into the Sr. Director of the Enterprise Applications Project Management Office.
What You’ll Take On:
Strategic Leadership:
- Ensure the Ent. Apps HR PMO team adheres to established project governance frameworks, project standards, and delivery processes.
- Collaborate with HR functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute key HR initiatives and maintain current strategic project roadmaps.
- Provide guidance on project selection, prioritization, resource planning, and portfolio management for HR programs/projects within the Ent. Apps portfolio.
Project Oversight & Execution:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional HR programs (e.g., HRIS implementations, HR M/A Integrations).
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Monitor program / project performance providing regular updates to various audience groups, HR executive leadership, Ent. Apps leadership team, steering committees etc.
Governance & Process Improvement:
- Ensure PMs are ready to pass regular project audits and ensure post-implementation reviews are completed to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and results-driven project execution within the Ent. Apps PMO staff
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of HR program/project managers.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across HR functional areas and with business stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between HR, IT and other departments to ensure alignment of program and project goals and integration with enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive sponsors, to ensure program/project alignment and success.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in program or project management within Human Resources.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale HR programs with multiple projects.
- Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate cross functional teams to achieve project and program goals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
- Project Management: In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices; well versed in managing projects in a variety of methodologies, waterfall, agile, and hybrid.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues.
- Strategic Thinking & Planning: ability to align HR program objectives with organizational goals and strategic vision reflected in the HR roadmaps.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify solutions and make informed decisions.
- Budget Management: Experience in managing program budgets and financials.
- Negotiation: Skilled in negotiating project staff/resources, timelines, and scope changes.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
- HR Expertise: Deep understanding of HR functions such as total rewards, HR operations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and compliance.
- HR Systems Expertise: Experience with Workday preferred as well as other HRIS systems, Lattice, Greenhouse, Cornerstone, etc.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. JIRA, Monday.com, Smartsheet, etc.)

The pay range for this position in New York City at the start of employment is expected to be between $176,600 and $261,380 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company’s discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
