We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Data Integration Lead to direct a high-performing team of analysts in designing, developing, and managing both new and existing data interfaces. This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence to ensure seamless data exchange processes that align with organizational goals and elevate business outcomes.
You will be responsible for building structure, optimizing workflows, and driving measurable efficiencies across data integration efforts. Acting as both a leader and a problem-solver, you’ll navigate challenges, remove blockers, and ensure your team delivers impactful, high-quality solutions that support both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Oversight
Provide vision, direction, and structure for all data interface initiatives, ensuring they align with organizational strategies and client needs.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
Build, implement, and refine workflows that maximize efficiency, clarify responsibilities, and improve team performance.
Define, monitor, and report on KPIs to track team success, identify improvement areas, and inform strategy.
Technical & Operational Execution
Oversee the full lifecycle of data interfaces, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and ongoing support.
Collaborate with external trading partners, internal technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth integrations and consistent alignment on deliverables.
Establish and maintain data exchange standards, quality controls, and comprehensive documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with data feeds, proactively addressing potential risks before they impact operations.
Serve as a technical lead on large-scale integration projects, ensuring solutions meet both immediate and long-term organizational needs.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Develop and refine processes that drive efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across the integration landscape.
Identify opportunities for automation, enhanced monitoring, and improved data quality.
Anticipate business growth and position the team to scale operations effectively.
Partner with leadership to explore new technical solutions that address evolving client and business needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
7+ years in a Payor, Health Plan, Health System, or Provider organization.
5+ years working with EDI and data interfaces.
3+ years in a leadership role managing people and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep expertise in EDI & ANSI X12 healthcare transactions (834, 837, etc.).
Proven experience with non-standard transaction implementations.
Background in claims administration systems (HealthRules Payer strongly preferred).
Hands-on experience establishing new data interfaces, including mapping and transport.
Proficiency in SQL and JSON.
Track record of defining and executing application strategies and roadmaps.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving operational issues.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
