Position Overview
As Director of Project Management, you will play a pivotal part in leading a team that gets things done. The project management team has an integral role in advising, planning, and coordinating on all things creative to ensure that our campaigns launch successfully and on time. In this position, you will collaborate closely with project managers and various cross-functional team leaders to ensure that our internal teamwork consistently supports our clients in achieving their strategic priorities. The Director of Project Management’s contribution is also crucial in developing and maintaining the processes that helps to keep excellent execution at the forefront of what we do.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to project management teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Mentor project managers to enhance their project management skills and drive their professional development.
- Facilitate effective communication channels between project teams, internal stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment and transparency throughout project lifecycles.
- Team up with department leads to optimize project workflows and ensure alignment with organizational goals and processes.
- Act as a point of contact for complex projects and provide expert guidance and aid to PM teams as needed.
- Establish and reinforce departmental standards for project management excellence across all projects and lines of business.
- Identify and address inefficiencies in project activation processes while working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and implement optimizations.
- Collaborate with project management leadership to allocate resources effectively across projects and teams.
- Support a collective vision for the PM team and set a positive example for self-management and collaboration.
- Develop onboarding and training materials to drive the ongoing development of the project management team.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in digital project management with an expertise in managing diverse projects and digital ad production.
- In-depth knowledge of digital ad formats and asset management best practices.
- Experience training, supervising, and mentoring project management teams.
- Comfortability navigating ambiguity and helping to develop clarity of direction as needed.
- Experience and knowledge of the digital ad trafficking processes and best practices related to creative execution.
- Demonstrated ability to provide solutions-oriented leadership with a very strong ability to creatively solve complex problems collaboratively.
- Interpersonal skills to work closely with Director-level stakeholders to manage overall client relationships.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs, and project management tools such as Smartsheet or similar.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of project management experience, preferably in an agency setting or creative services environment.
- Commitment to team culture building for the sake of individual and professional development and team camaraderie.

The salary range for this position is posted below.
