Located 35km west of Toowoomba, the JBS Beef City Plant is part of the Beef City integrated feedlot, processing and farming facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in southern hemisphere. Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 900 employees with a current processing capacity of 1000 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers.
About the Role
JBS Beef City is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join the Maintenance team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Coordinator will oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities and grounds for our site. This role also play a key role in maintaining inventory, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with contractors, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with external service providers.
- Tracking and managing inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Assisting with the development of maintenance budgets and managing expenses.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Communicating effectively with maintenance staff, management, and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment information, and expenses.
- Assisting with troubleshooting maintenance issues and identifying solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential for coordinating multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed for interacting with various stakeholders.
- The ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively is crucial.
- A good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is often required.
- Supervisory experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team is beneficial.
- Experience in managing budgets and controlling expenses is often necessary.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards is important.
