WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Rack Factory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our Project Management and Network Engineering teams by assembling customer server racks in a clean room lab environment. You will help deliver a best-in-class service that meets high standards of quality, precision, and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Install network hardware, components, and cabling
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with copper and fibre network cabling
- Inspect and test copper and fibre optic lines to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Rack and stack networking hardware according to specifications
- Provide technical support via various communication channels
- Collaborate effectively with network engineers and project managers
- Assist with network design, implementation, and issue resolution
- Cable racks to meet data centre standards and requirements
- Meet expectations for quality, productivity, and turnaround time
- Route cables and fibre in a clean, organized, and serviceable manner
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required and within the scope of the role
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Hands-on experience with networking hardware including routers, servers, switches, PDUs, and both copper and fibre optic cabling
- Familiarity with major manufacturers of routers, switches, and wireless equipment
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, port maps, rack layouts, and bills of materials
- Previous experience in a similar technical role
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and a desire to grow in this field
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Capable of diagnosing basic technical issues and identifying root causes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with network engineering deployments in large-scale corporate environments
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- 2+ years Network deployment experience
- CCNA / JNCIA/ CompTIA or equivalent
- Fluent in spoken and written English
