We are Loop
Loop Earplugs is reinventing how people experience the world by enabling them to live life at their own volume. 2024 was a pivotal year at Loop – we hit 14,000,000 earplugs sold, were named ‘The Best Earplugs for Concerts’ by The New York Times, and expanded our product offering to a complete range of solutions for day and night. Oh – and not to mention making history as the first company to win Deloitte’s Fast 50 Belgium twice.
But this is just the beginning. As we continue to develop disruptive products, we’re constantly on the lookout for the next big idea - and building a team who can make it happen.
Being a Looper means making a difference. Whatever your role, this is your stage to make a real impact and bring your ideas to life. Better yet, you’ll join a fast-growing, global team of 250+ people who are passionate, down-to-earth and eager to tackle challenges together.
5+ years mechanical design experience, preferably in consumer electronics, wearables, or other high-volume precision hardware | Hybrid | Antwerp
This role is built for engineers who want more than just design ownership. As a Product Design Engineer II at Loop, you’ll be trusted with shaping the mechanical heart of our flagship product, Project-X. This is a rare opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of full subsystems, working across disciplines in a fast-moving, feedback-driven team. You’ll turn complex mechanical challenges into elegant, scalable solutions. Your work won’t sit in a lab, it will ship globally.
Build the next generation of wearable tech
You’ll own key subsystems from concept to launch. Your days will be a mix of design refinement in CAD, collaborating with electrical and ID teams, running tolerance stacks, and iterating on prototypes that head straight into EVT/DVT builds. You’ll make smart tradeoffs between design intent, manufacturability, and performance and you’ll see your decisions come to life fast. From surfacing in Creo to on-the-ground troubleshooting, you’re not just delivering parts; you’re shaping the product experience.
Your other responsibilities:
- Translate functional and aesthetic requirements into mechanical solutions that scale to mass production
- Optimize DFM with smart material choices, fast iteration cycles, and close supplier feedback
- Own your stack: assemblies, tolerance analysis, BOM readiness, and release to manufacturing
- Support failure analysis and quality investigations during early builds
- Partner directly with external vendors to resolve design and tooling challenges
How you’ll succeed as a Product Design Engineer II
You’re the kind of engineer who sees constraints as a challenge, not a blocker. You’re detail-obsessed but know when to zoom out. You move fast without cutting corners. You think in systems but sweat the fit of a single part. What sets you apart is how you collaborate. You don’t protect your work; you improve it through feedback. You want your designs to scale, and you’re willing to go deep to make that happen.
These key competences will set you up for success:
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design, ideally in consumer electronics, wearables, or other high-volume precision hardware
- Proficiency in Creo and Windchill, with strong surfacing and top-down modeling skills
- Deep understanding of plastic part design and molding principles
- Expertise in GD&T, mechanical drawings, and tolerance stack-ups
- Hands-on experience with EVT/DVT builds, root cause analysis, and DFM optimization
