Your Career

Palo Alto Networks' Next-Gen Firewall / Cloud Security test engineering team is looking for a seasoned and accomplished Senior Manager with experience in Automation, Networking, and/or Firewall Security technologies. You will be part of a world-class software test engineering team that works on qualifying various ground-breaking Next-Gen Firewall / Cloud Security products and services. As a functional test Manager handling test engineering and automation, you will be expected to lead and participate in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition and design through implementation, testing, and field deployments.

  • Deeply understand customers' needs by researching to develop insight into their needs and desires and demonstrating how you can meet those needs with PANW's products and services.

  • Focus on all aspects of work processes and products to guarantee quality and accuracy; take responsibility to ensure tasks are completed on time and with high quality.

  • Stays updated with advancements and the usage of AI (for coding, quality processes, etc.), evaluate their relevance, and incorporate them to enhance systems.

  • Work closely with the product management organization to develop and deliver on product roadmaps.

  • Lead cross-functionally with PANOS software, Prisma Access/SASE, CDSS, Operations, and Quality Engineering teams to bring new products and services to market in a timely fashion with excellent quality.

  • Provide direction to the team on best practices, templates, and frameworks for automation.

  • Work closely with Engineering escalation and customer support teams to improve end-customer outcomes.

  • Be a strong mentor and coach to the team, investing in their growth and development while holding them accountable for goals and milestones.

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, another engineering/technical degree, or equivalent military experience is required.

  • 15+ years of experience in highly technical roles in test engineering or enterprise services.

  • 5+ years in management roles.

  • Strong domain expertise in building and delivering large-scale Networking/Security Products & Solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and a strong proficiency in Python.

  • Deep understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency and code quality.

  • Experience leading software test teams involved with qualifying features and customer use cases.

  • Good understanding of Enterprise and SaaS products, with the ability to participate in the design, code review, and deployment of scalable software systems.

  • Experience with customer engagements (both proactive and reactive) and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $185000/YR - $280500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
