RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER, KOREA
OUR ROLE
Royal Copenhagen is looking for a Retail Operations Manager to join our team in Korea. This key role will lead all aspects of our department store distribution network, driving sales performance and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will oversee strategic planning, store operations, and key account management while working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to strengthen our brand presence.
Reporting to our Sales Manager, Korea, this role will be based at our office in Seoul.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our Retail Operations Manager, you will manage the full scope of department store operations in Korea, from negotiating new store opportunities to optimising sales performance. You will lead promotional planning, analyse results, and ensure operational excellence across our retail network.
Manage department store distribution, including negotiations for new openings, renovations, locations, margins, and entry or exit terms
Set sales targets, build achievement plans, and oversee execution through promotions, VIP events, and campaigns
Collaborate with store and branch teams to maximise brand visibility through advertising and marketing channels
Monitor product performance, identify trends, and take action on best and worst sellers
Deliver training and guidance to store teams to enhance customer experience and build lasting relationships
Conduct market research to track industry trends and competitor activity, adjusting strategies as needed
Manage store inventory levels, product condition, and display compliance with brand standards
Oversee HR matters for directly employed store staff, implementing motivation plans to achieve sales goals
WHO YOU ARE
You bring more than 5 years of retail operations experience, ideally within the consumer goods industry and with department store expertise. Commercially minded and results driven, you combine strong planning and analytical skills with the ability to build lasting brand affinity.
Proven track record of delivering sales targets and managing retail operations in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of the retail business, preferably with department store experience
Skilled in sales planning, performance analysis, and commercial negotiations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
Highly organised, disciplined, and able to work under pressure
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
Full fluency in Korean required. Fluency in our global working language, English, highly preferred
