Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

The Passenger and Travel Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the various types of official US Government funded travel for the Department of Defense active-duty military service members, civilians and local national direct employees of the US Air Force and US Army within the area of responsibility, in accordance with Air Force Instructions 24-602, Joint Travel Regulations and Defense Travel Regulations. This position includes performing in a timely manner and first-come-first-serve basis to meet the official travel requirements of the customers within the prescribed entitlements. This position also conducts continuous coordination and communication with the Commercial Travel Office for inquiring and booking flights and uses various DoD systems to track, inquire and issue non-commercial, US Military provided flights and oversees the usage and reconciliation of US Government provided charge card.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide passenger movement services IAW DAFI 24-602, JTR and DTR part IV.
  •  Verify travel reservations through the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  •  Provide official passenger travel capability after hours. 
  •  Receive, review, and determine official travel entitlements through various types of flight authorizations & orders, provided    by the DoD personnel.
  •  Create, safeguard and share official passenger reservations documentation.
  •  Charge passenger flight to appropriate accounts and use the Commercial Travel Office (CTO) for official travel.
  •  Use Global Air Transportation Execution System to book Air Mobility Command (AMC) Patriot Express (PE) travel and maintain files/reports.  
  •  Produce/maintain reports for passenger movement IAW applicable directives.
  •  Complete a quarterly Centrally Billed Account Unused Ticket Report and Quarterly Premium Class Travel (RR) and forward to HQ USAFE.
  •  Complete and reconcile a monthly Centrally Billed Account (CBA) Report (RR) immediately upon receipt and forward to appropriate DFAS with all applicable documentation to ensure compliance with Prompt Payment Act
  • Attend various DoD training, conferences, and symposiums to stay current on requirements.
  • Support USDA inspections and clearance processes, ensure compliance with USDA program requirements
  • Assist with freight and cargo coordination, track and prepare shipping documents
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and government officials via telephone, computer, and in-person
  • Ability to solve problems with minimum supervision

*** Duties and responsibilities may evolve, and change based on the needs of the project and the organization. Due to the workflow in our Izmir Site, different departments experience periods of high workload at different times. While some units are very busy, others may go through quieter periods. During such times, to efficiently utilize our workforce and maintain workplace motivation and team spirit, units that are going through quiet periods, supports units with heavy workloads. The personnel to be hired in this position may work in different tasks and units (FMS, TMO, Dispatch, CE, SMO, etc..) during periods when the workload in their workshop is light or during urgent needs in other units.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a Turkish citizen.
  • Valid Class B driver’s license.
  • English level 3 (speaking, reading, writing)
  • University Degree or High School with minimum 5 years of post-related experience in related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in passenger travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with US Department of Defense travel regulations and USAFE-specific directives

All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.

All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.

All male candidates must have completed their military service.
