Job Description:

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve both individual and team targets.

  • Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for the team to ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on results, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to offer coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities.

  • Work with the Sales Enablement team to create training programs and professional development plans to elevate team skills and industry expertise.

  • Collaborate closely with leadership, sales, and marketing to align business development efforts with overall company strategies.

  • Serve as SME for all business development operating rhythms, processes, resources, and tools for the broader team’s onboarding efforts and ongoing training.

  • Support the broader sales organization with training and development, cross-departmental and manager mentoring, and collaboration in driving organizational growth.

Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize business development processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the team.

  • Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline workflows, improve lead generation efforts, and track performance against goals.

  • Identify and address obstacles that hinder team performance, driving solutions to ensure optimal productivity.

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, successes, and challenges related to business development goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in business development or sales, including 4+ with a proven track record of success in managing teams.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving strategic objectives.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Strong technical skills, including toolsets such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Gong, HighSpot, Demandbase and/or similar platforms preferred.

  • Experience with healthcare IT, EHR, and other health-related technologies preferred.
