Position Overview:
Dechert LLP is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analytics Specialist to join our Talent Operations team. Reporting to the Director of Talent Operations, this role will play a critical part in maintaining and analyzing data across the VI and Workday systems, delivering actionable insights, and supporting the firm’s talent strategy through robust reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, proficiency in Workday, VI suite, and Tableau, and a passion for leveraging data to drive decision-making.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Maintain and ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across VI and Workday systems.
  • Reporting: Generate and deliver requested reports on recruiting, training, and HR metrics, ensuring timely and accurate insights for stakeholders.
  • Trend Analysis: Provide regular trend reports on various slices and subsets of data, identifying patterns and actionable insights to inform talent strategies.
  • Dashboard Development: Utilize Tableau to design and develop dashboards and visual reports that effectively communicate key metrics and trends.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Advisory, Recruiting, Total Rewards and Development teams to understand reporting needs and provide tailored analytics solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data management and reporting processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Compliance: Ensure all data handling and reporting practices align with firm policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within HR, talent operations, or a professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization.
  • Strong technical skills in Workday and VI systems, with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills to present data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SQL or other database querying languages.
  • Familiarity with HR metrics and reporting best practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
