Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Manager of Infrastructure Engineering for our Unix Team. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding time management skills and a proven track record of setting and achieving results-oriented goals. We value hands-on experience, leadership abilities, and a passion for transforming environments through automation and adoption of new technologies.

Our team ensures the stability, availability, and reliability of thousands of servers supporting a wide range of applications in a hybrid cloud environment. We focus on preventing service disruptions, enabling rapid recovery, and continuously improving IT through automation and process engineering.

Your Impact

As a key member of the IT Infrastructure Engineering Team, you will:

  • Develop and lead a team of engineers to proactively ensure platform stability and security.

  • Identify, influence, and implement technology, process, and skill enhancements to modernize infrastructure and upskill the engineering team.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure clear communication, risk reduction, and accountability for team performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of expert-level experience in engineering and team management.

  • Strong communication skills: able to set clear goals and provide status updates to management.

  • Proven ability to lead teams through current and emerging technical trends, anticipating future growth and technology needs.

  • Experience automating routine processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate engineering teams toward continuous improvement.

  • Experience assessing team performance and driving delivery.

  • Minimum 3 years managing a team focused on Unix, both on-premises and in AWS.

  • Extensive hands-on experience in Unix administration and infrastructure automation.

  • Experience working in highly regulated environments (preferably within the financial industry).

  • Additional cloud experience is a plus.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $151,000 - $227,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
