Position Overview: Join athenahealth as a Member of Technical Staff at the Associate level, based in Bangalore - Whitefield, in a hybrid working model. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful software solutions in healthcare technology. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software systems. Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Data Structures and Algorithms, Perl, FHIR, RESTful API, EKS, Nodejs, React, JOOQ and Oracle.

The Team: Our Athena Clinicals team is dedicated to building code that matters, supporting over 100,000 healthcare providers daily. We focus on creating seamless interactions between providers and electronic health records, ensuring that critical information is accessible when needed. Our team is innovative, passionate, and driven by a mission to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, debug, and deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions

· Create clear and detailed technical design documentation for assigned projects

· Conduct and participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and data services

· Implement features with a strong understanding of web technologies and relational databases

· Follow coding standards and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

· Troubleshoot issues in Unix/Linux environments and assist in production support

Additional Job Responsibilities:

· Contribute ideas to enhance product features and improve user experience

· Assist with team knowledge sharing and documentation efforts

· Support test automation and validation of new software components

· Participate in technical discussions and planning sessions

· Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to the role

· Help mentor junior team members through code reviews and collaboration

· Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver timely solutions

Expected Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, or related technical field

· 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience

· Proficient in modern programming languages, notably Java

· Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL

· Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

· Experience working in Unix/Linux environments

· Familiarity with RESTful APIs and related integration technologies

· Experience with modern UI frameworks is a plus
