Job Summary

Performs specific patient related clerical functions and observes cardiac monitor for detection of arrhythmias. Performs the clerical duties related to patient care and staff support for the unit as well as observe patients through appropriate monitor system.



Essential Functions

  • Performs a range of clerical duties that support the operations of the unit.
  • Serves as a receptionist and offers assistance to physicians, employees, patients, and visitors.
  • Observes and monitors patients.
  • Maintains medical records.
  • Tracks and orders supplies.

Physical Requirements

Requires attention to detail. Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time. Must speak English in clear, understandable terms. Demonstrates the ability to communicate and concentrate effectively. Close-up vision necessary for patient observation. Good hearing required for related communications.



Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Medical terminology and computer data entry skills preferred. Successful completion of Basis EKG educational program.
