  • Collaborate closely with process development teams to identify yield loss drivers and implement corrective actions.

  • Analyze data to detect trends and propose enhancements to sort recipes and wafer handling protocols.

  • Develop, document, and maintain equipment/process control standards specific to wafer sort.

  • Troubleshoot operational issues involving prober systems, handlers, and test equipment, initiate corrective and preventive measures.

  • Conduct root cause analyses (e.g., using DOE, SPC, RCA) to resolve yield variation or equipment discrepancies.

  • Engage with cross-functional teams (equipment, maintenance, quality, manufacturing) to ensure seamless execution of process improvements.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in wafer sort, wafer probe, or back-end test operations.

  • Hands-on experience with probers (TEL, Accretech, Electroglas, etc.) and testers (e.g., Teradyne J750, UltraFLEX).

  • Knowledge of probe card technology and overdrive/planarity optimization.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA, DOE (Design of Experiments), and root cause analysis methods.

  • Strong data analysis skills using Minitab, Excel, or equivalent statistical tools.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor wafer-level yield analysis and defect classification systems.

  • Understanding of wafer sort flows, mapping, binning logic, and wafer ID traceability systems.
