The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden site in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Your Tasks:

  • Ensure that all financial activity is completed in accordance with Abbott policies and procedures as well as local laws and regulations
  • Manage, consolidate and report the financial KPIs for new business expansion programs
  • Provide leadership and day to day support in LRP and LBE process, ensuring a proper preparation of Area review, presentation of results, insights and future action for Germany as well as consolidate the DACH region for reporting purpose
  • Provide financial and strategic support to Commercial Heads and Regional Controller during business reviews and in all other Financial process to Senior Management in ADC
  • Take active part in all relevant cross-functional project related meetings
  • Support value creation in the decision-making process
  • Drive investment efficiencies by providing guidance and relevant assessment of ROI and payback
  • Build relevant pre- and post-evaluations
  • Develop reporting logic of the revenue recognition allocation to selected project
  • Deliver regular as well as ad-hoc reporting and analyses
  • Timely management of all relevant Purchase Orders
  • Responsible for alignment with EMEA finance team for forecasting, reporting and status review
  • Drive execution of the project related activities with required controls in place and in compliance with Abbott finance policies
  • Work to continually provide process improvements that benefit both/either our regions or HQ and provide improved profitability/cost effectiveness

Your Qualification:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Min. 10 years of experience in controlling or finance consulting department
  • Outstanding leadership, analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have excellent system skills, attitude and experience, especially with Essbase Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Ability to successfully work with senior executives and provide sound strategic guidance regarding business opportunities and challenges
  • Experienced in leading and motivating a team in a challenging environment and ensuring the team achieves their professional goals and site objectives
  • Excellent MS Office skills, with high level of expertise in Excel
  • Ability to present and summarize complex issues in a simple way
  • Capabilities to challenge status quo and develop innovative processes & solutions
  • Self-Starter with problem solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ready to work under high pressure and tight deadlines
