A Day in the Life 

In this exciting role you will have responsibility for designing and implementing solutions that improve and automate operations excellence in the areas of data integrity, reporting, communication, strategy and execution for Sales and Service Operations. This position partners with Medtronic stakeholders for building and maintaining solutions, content, tools, and processes in field facing systems. This role reports to the Sr Sales Enablement Manager.  

 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. 

  • Manage support escalations from the Helpdesk and Field Services support teams, including the ownership of a support bucket.  

  • Manage and maintain Salesforce.com contact, account, and Sales Structure data to ensure accurate reporting and system customer master list.  

  • Understands aspects of Salesforce.com configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including changes and potential system implications related to the Salesforce.com release upgrades.  

  • Provide on-call support for urgent issues that arise on evenings and weekends, which may come directly from users or via support team escalation.  

  • Review enhancement requests submitted by field employees, assess the feasibility of each request and identify any potential impacts.  

  • Participate in design reviews to ensure that changes to the system are consistent with field user expectations.  

  • Actively engage in testing all new functionality in each release to ensure that compatibility with current business processes is maintained.  

  • Plan, develop, and implement new concepts, techniques, and functionality that support   Field users ongoing adoption of Salesforce.com.  

  • Design and develop reports and dashboards for use by end users and field leadership.  

  • Work independently with end-users and business partners to understand requirements and design and estimate solutions.    

  • License management for Salesforce.com user needs.  

  • Develop solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation and are consistent with organization objectives.  

  • Utilize Salesforce.com reporting as required to support data analysis needs   

  • Collaborate with IT and Business teams on solution design, programming/development needs, and promotion of solutions that support various sales/service initiatives.  

  • Partner with field personnel to ensure physician and sales structure data in field facing systems is up to date and applicable. 

  • Establish effective relationships and collaborate with field personnel to ensure that the voice of the customer is paramount in formulation of strategy and tools.  

  • Engage cross functional business partners to standardize processes and streamline capabilities and field metrics with the goal of increasing productivity and reducing field burden.   

  • Support and manage special projects for operational improvements and strategic initiatives; as needed.   

Must Have: Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelors degree required 

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience supporting Salesforce.com (SFDC), or advanced degree in lieu of experience 

 
Nice to Have
 

  • Salesforce.com Certifications  

  • Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects  

  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com   

  • Experience in consulting, project management, analyst, operations, or program management role  

  • Experience in successful management of projects that require cross-functional collaboration   

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels within the organization   

  • Analytical problem-solving skills  

  • Computer skills with experience utilizing Microsoft Applications – Excel, Access, PowerPoint  

  • Strong understanding of business processes and vocabulary  

  • Able to work under pressure   

  • Strong attention to detail  

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.  

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment  

  • Goal oriented, task driven decision-making with a strong sense of accountability  

  • BS or BA degree in Business or IT related discipline

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$70,400.00 - $88.000.00
