A Day in the Life
Join the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) finance team supporting Patient Care Systems as a Prin Financial Analyst. This role will report to the CRM PCS Finance Director and be on a team that supports revenue and directly oversees and manages OPC/Overhead spending and capital spending. This role provides business partnership and financial support to the Sr Director of Information Systems and Services Platform.The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform and analyze financial models, project accounting, budget management (expense and capital), participate in cross functional teams, and engagement in forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan.
A Day In The Life:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive a positive impact through the following:
- Partner directly with the Sr Director of ISS in all aspects of financial management including financial reporting, project prioritization, resource allocation, expense management and capital planning
- Serve as the primary finance partner to the ISS Organization supporting cost center and project management, ad-hoc financial analysis and business case development
- Coordinate PCS Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including preparing and presenting monthly/quarterly business results within CRM
- Lead the AOP budgeting and rolling forecast process for PCS G&A and the ISS organization
- Provide support for the monthly Integrated Business Planning meetings
- Participate in core teams and be the financial liaison to the phase gate business reviews
- Prepare financial analyses on special projects as directed by the PCS Finance Director
- Collaborate with other functions and finance personnel to ensure that best practices are shared across CRM Finance
- Own capital reporting and depreciation forecasting
- Create and maintain Enrich models as needed for R&D investments showcasing NPV and IRR for both current investments and future strategic ideas
Must Have – Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)
- Strong modeling/Microsoft Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships,
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information
- Ability to manage tight time commitments
- Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion systems
NICE TO HAVE:
- MBA or CPA, including public accounting / technical accounting
- Controllership/Capital Accounting Experience
- Experience in navigating across complex matrix organizations
- Proven ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas,
- Demonstrated ability and success working with minimal supervision, including flexibility to changing priorities in a proactive and self-motivated manner,
- Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate financial data into concise information for management,
- Ability to operate within a complex organization
