General position summary:
The Director of IT Product Development for Workplace Solutions & Commercial Applications (WPS) oversees the development and implementation of technology solutions, particularly focusing on the Telescio and Data platforms. This position connects business objectives with technical execution and manages the entire product lifecycle for WPS projects to ensure consistency with organizational priorities. The Director acts as a subject matter expert and liaison between commercial relocation operations, IT teams, and external partners, supporting the delivery of scalable and efficient technology solutions. Responsibilities include strategy formulation, system architecture oversight, stakeholder communication, and operational management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Define, own, and communicate the strategic vision and roadmap for the product suite, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and future growth opportunities.
- Lead a team and prioritize the product backlog, overseeing both the development and deployment of new features, system enhancements, and integrations with enterprise platforms.
- Drive market and user research initiatives, maintaining a deep understanding of commercial operations, industry trends, robotics, process automation, artificial intelligence and customer needs to inform feature design and long-term strategy.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal business partners, operations leaders, and external clients, serving as the “voice of the customer” and championing user-centric design and innovation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into scalable, robust technology solutions.
- Monitor and communicate progress to stakeholders, providing executive-level updates, risk assessments, and plans for critical project milestones.
- Oversee product release planning and system upgrades, setting stakeholder expectations for delivery timelines and change management initiatives.
- Partner closely with the Operations and senior leadership to maintain a prioritized, value-driven product backlog and to develop robust business cases for emerging technology investments.
- Actively remove roadblocks and secure cross-functional support to accelerate delivery and adoption.
- Continually analyze business processes, gather operational requirements, and recommend enhancements to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
- Support the Sales and Account Management teams by providing capabilities and the technology roadmap to current and prospective clients, differentiating our solutions in the marketplace.

Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
- Certification in Product Ownership, PMP or Agile methodologies preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the agile product lifecycle and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of relevant automation, robotics, and integration technologies.
- Experience working with distributed and remote teams, as well as direct client engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive presence.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance in all deliverables.
Travel:
- Less than 20% travel required.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, accounting/billing, HRIS, timekeeping and other applications used in the performance of job duties.

- Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work.
