Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist will oversee various aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring that all customer invoicing is completed accurately and timely. This role involves regular communication with customers to facilitate payment collection and resolving any discrepancies that may arise.

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner
• Review contracts to ensure proper billing terms
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client inquiries
• Collaborate with client services and finance teams to ensure billing accuracy
• Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and billing documentation
• Process and post customer payments accurately and timely
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and billing issues
• Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements
• Assist with audit preparation
• Assist with generating Accounts Receivable reporting activities and distribution to management
• Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with company policies
• Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) or mentor to other team members both domestically and globally

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in billing and accounts receivable
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., MS Dynamics 365, SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks)
• Familiarity with collections practices and credit management

The base salary range for this position is from $55,000-$64,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
