Merchandise Processor

General Summary: This position assists the Merchandise Analyst in all aspects of the buying department.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Allocate merchandise to stores
• Daily Communication with warehouse regarding order maintenance; PO issues.
• Write and follow up with purchase orders.
• Place buys under direction of Division President and Buyer including written orders and follow up.
• All coordination of paperwork and shipping.
• Markdown maintenance under direction of Buyer.
• Input and classify new styles.
• Attach and maintain merchandise UPC’s.
• Verify invoicing against closed PO’s.

 

Specific Job Skills:

• Ability to understand and follow somewhat complex verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
• Must be organized, able to set priorities, and a self-starter.
• Job duties tend to be recurring, but occasionally requires attention to and/or coordination of concurrent job duties.
• Under direction, examines basic information and/or situations and prepares summaries or draws conclusions for evaluation by others.

 

Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years experience in retail or related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Language Skills:

• Good verbal and written communication skills required
• Good interpersonal skills required

 

 

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24 - $26/hr Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
