Position Summary
This position with the Solution Delivery Open Connect team is responsible for designing, configuring, testing and deploying IT solutions and integrations for the Physician Services Group within HCA. The Senior Product Analyst will collaborate with Business Customers, Department Heads, and Project teams, provide leadership regarding application design, as well as support and develop subject matter knowledge for internally developed applications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective design, build, deployment, documentation and maintenance of IT solutions and integrations within the PSG environment
- Requirements definition for new Open Connect initiatives for the Enterprise (PSG, Parallon, Corporate Initiatives, Division/Field Initiatives)
- Articulates existing system structure, constraints and deficiencies with product to vendors, customers, architecture and support teams
- Lead project team meetings and work with project managers to document, report and manage risks, issues and changes
- Manage the change control process; and complete a requirements matrix throughout the execution of the solution to ensure that all documented requirements are met
- Builds and maintains a strategic working relationship with multiple software vendors
- Function as a liaison with business teams to perform gap analysis of vendor product functionality to business process requirements
- Provide technical guidance and expertise during the development, implementation, support and maintenance of integrations at PSG
- Document product enhancements for vendor solutions liaising with the vendor and business customers through the design and development cycle
- Document for vendor delivered solutions business process, application workflow/UI front-end to backend database mapping and traceability
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend/develop solutions
- Works independently with minimal supervision and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Contributes to the overall strategic Open Connect plan for PSG
- Maintains strategic and tactical working relationships and actively shares and collaborates with other corporate departments and key stakeholders to drive goals and desired outcomes
- Navigates and leads new system integration and system transitions
- Researches and assesses strategic fit of external technology trends as potential enablers for future business initiatives
- Leads creation of data models to support educational, analytical and decision support systems
- Develop, coordinate, guide and maintain IT systems strategic and operational plans in support of the overall Open Connect mission and business strategy
- Support and enhance existing software products which includes
- Constantly looking for opportunities to reduce ongoing costs and improve operational efficiencies
- Assist in measuring, monitoring and optimizing existing system usage and compliance
- Responding to break/fix issues associated with existing systems.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of progressive growth in a large IT Organization
- 1-5 years of HCA ITG experience highly desired
- Use excellent written and verbal communications to build interpersonal professional relationships
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify critical issues upstream to prevent downstream impact and willingness escalate as appropriate bring awareness of issues
- Strong facilitation, partnership-building and negotiating skills
- Ability to interact successfully with multiple customers at all levels within the organization
- Ability to work effectively on multiple concurrent solutions/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and adapt easily to change and shifting priorities
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment while adhering to established standards and procedures and also participate in continual process improvement that funnel into standards/procedures
- Willingness to ask questions rather than make assumptions and mentor staff in the same
- Exposure to medical physician practice management, medical billing and electronic medical records solutions, especially eClinicalWorks, a huge plus!
- Experience in HL7 processing and knowledge of Biztalk, Cloverleaf, or other integration platforms is preferred
