Finance Officer (Parental Leave Cover) – Support at Home
Fixed Term | 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) | 6 months

We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our Support at Home team on a fixed-term, part-time basis (0.6FTE/3 days per week) to provide parental leave cover for a period of 6 months.
About the Role
The Finance Officer is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial administration to support the effective delivery of aged care services under the Support at Home program. This includes preparing client statements and invoices, supporting Care Partners to ensure service plans are accurate, and managing accounts payable to ensure suppliers are paid within agreed timeframes.
The role also provides front-line support to clients and suppliers in relation to financial queries, requiring a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and issuing monthly client statements and invoices
- Processing accounts payable and ensuring supplier invoices are accurate and paid on time
- Maintaining accurate financial and client records in relevant systems
- Providing prompt and courteous support to clients and suppliers with invoice or payment queries
- Supporting the Finance team with reconciliations and direct debits
- Contributing to a safe, compliant, and client-focused workplace
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in finance or accounting, ideally in an aged care or health setting
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with finance and client management software
- Qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field
You will also need to hold (or be able to obtain prior to commencement):
- A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check
- A current Working with Vulnerable People card
- A driver’s licence
