About the opportunity
Mercy Health’s Procurement, Contracts and Supply Chain Team supports all Mercy Health entities, delivering value across Hospitals, Aged Care, Home Care, and Palliative Care. We work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure the best outcomes for our patients, residents, clients, and staff.
We are currently seeking a Sourcing Specialist for a 6-month contract to cover maternity leave.
Contract role (6 months) within the Procurement, Contracts and Supply Chain Team
Based at our Richmond Office with hybrid working options and opportunities to work across Melbourne sites
Responsible for the sourcing and execution of portfolio plans across Mercy Health’s multi-entity operations
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver best value outcomes
Work across diverse service areas including Hospitals, Palliative Care, Residential Aged Care, and Home Care

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Proven working experience in a sourcing or procurement role
Experience in Health and Aged Care sectors is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with strategic sourcing and category management methods
Subject matter expertise across Direct Goods / Services Categories
Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment
Strong project management and leadership skills
Ability to establish and sustain networking relationships
Strong negotiation skills
Comfortable with figures and collecting, analysing, and interpreting data
Solid judgment with the ability to make good decisions
Understanding of Contracts and Legal Terminology
Ability to prioritise various projects
Influencing skills at all levels, including internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, and the ability to prepare reports for executive approvals
