Job Title: Event Services Manager
Position Summary:
Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned events, skillfully aligning client visions and budgets with property resources. Ensures seamless planning and execution of events while exceeding client expectations and meeting or surpassing property goals.
Salary Rate - $85,000
Primary Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Planning
◦ Meets with clients to understand event goals, offer creative suggestions, and determine all event logistics including setup, equipment, and menu needs.
◦ Anticipates client requirements for flawless event execution.
◦ Identifies opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell services to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
◦ Conducts and/or participates in site tours and client presentations.
◦ Encourages repeat business through effective follow-up and rebooking strategies.
2. Contract Management
◦ Prepares and executes sales agreements for a variety of events, including meetings, conventions, and social or corporate gatherings.
3. Event Documentation & Communication
◦ Develops and maintains detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), capturing all specifics including setup, menu, and service instructions.
◦ Maintains consistent communication with clients to finalize event details.
◦ Creates comprehensive event resumes for operational departments.
4. Operations Coordination
◦ Communicates all event information to appropriate teams to ensure seamless execution.
◦ Oversees event implementation and collaborates closely with Banquet staff to ensure high-quality service.
◦ Makes quick, effective decisions when adjustments are needed on-site.
5. Safety & Compliance
◦ Adheres to all safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
◦ Acts promptly on safety concerns and emergency situations.
◦ Complies with HAZMAT and MSDS standards.
6. Punctuality & Reliability
◦ Regular, on-time attendance is essential to this role.

Additional Responsibilities
• Maintains organized and up-to-date files and documentation of sales activities.
• Builds strong client relationships through professional and ethical interactions.
• Responds promptly to client inquiries and needs.
• Resolves guest concerns within scope or escalates when necessary.
• Reports all unusual incidents to management or Security.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in event planning, catering, convention services, or banquet operations.
• Experience with menu planning and food/wine pairings preferred.
• Understanding of forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and upselling skills.
• Creative mindset for designing innovative event setups and custom menus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with hotel systems and A/V equipment a plus.
• Strong attention to detail; able to handle multiple tasks and solve problems in dynamic environments.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally during setup/breakdown support.
• Requires visual acuity for computer work and accuracy in documentation.
• May be exposed to a range of environments, including loud noise, strong odors, and extreme heat during outdoor events.
