Job Summary:
The Product Manager - Data Product & Enablement will drive the strategy, activation, and business enablement of the Mariner’s core data products within the Mariner Data Platform (e.g., Advisor, Client, Revenue, Account/Portfolio). This role is essential to ensuring these products deliver measurable business value and continuously evolve based on stakeholder needs.
Success will be measured by adoption and engagement metrics, stakeholder satisfaction, business value impact, and the timely delivery of roadmap outcomes aligned with enterprise priorities. This individual will collaborate across data governance, engineering, BI, and business stakeholders to align data capabilities with business outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Roadmap Leadership
- Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for core data products with Mariner’s data platform
- Align product priorities with business strategy and enterprise data goals
- Partner with governance, architecture, and engineering to ensure roadmap feasibility and alignment
Adoption & Enablement
- Lead product activation through training, documentation, workshops, and communication
- Develop and maintain enablement materials (e.g., product guides, use cases, internal FAQs)
- Evangelize data products across business units and user communities
Business Impact & Measurement
- Define and track KPIs for product adoption, engagement, and value realization
- Use feedback and usage data to inform product enhancements
- Communicate product value to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Facilitate user forums, feedback loops, and roadmap discussions
- Support change management and business workflow integration efforts
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in data product management, data strategy, data engineering, or analytics
- Demonstrated success launching and/or managing data products with measurable business impact
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Business, Data/Analytics, or related field
- Experience in the financial services or wealth management industry
Skills:
- Strong ability to translate business needs into data product capabilities and roadmap features
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with data platforms and tools such as Snowflake, APIs, data catalogs (e.g., Alation, Collibra), and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx)
- Hands-on experience with product management tools (e.g., YouTrack, Jira)
- Analytical mindset and experience using metrics to inform decisions
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and change management abilities
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and autonomy
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No direct reports, but may lead cross-functional product workstreams or act in a dotted-line leadership capacity over technical and business contributors involved in product delivery and adoption
